How do I automatically log in with a specified user account and remove the welcome screen?

  1. Click Start
  2. Type: control userpasswords2
  3. Press enter
  4. If asked for permission, click Continue
  5. Uncheck the checkbox next to "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer"
  6. Click Apply
  7. Enter the user name and password you wish to automatically log on with
  8. Click OK
  9. Click OK
